Biography
In January 2019 David became a Partner of AKDP, following the founding partners decision to take a step back from the day to day running.
David initially joined the Practice in May 2013 as a Senior Architectural Technician, working as part of a team and reporting to a Senior member of staff to produce planning, tender and construction drawings.
David has 23+ years’ experience in the construction industry, joining his first company after completing his HND as a Junior Architectural Technician and has steadily continued to climb the career ladder. Current responsibilities vary on a job-to-job basis from a Principal Designers role through to a Lead Consultant and Project Manager. David understands that different Clients have very specific needs for each project, building up an extensive Client relationship with many Clients returning for more ambitious projects year on year.
More recently David has taken over many of the responsibilities from Mike, one of founding partners who recently retired. David is now responsible for many of the larger NHS projects running in the office. Having just completed a brand new £2.5million Decant Ward at Chase Farm Hospital, Enfield.
David is responsible for many of the day-to-day aspects of the company such as staff resourcing and IT systems and is the appointed Health & Safety Officer. He also provides support to the Accounts/Office Manager when required. David prides himself on being a respectful, honest, and supportive Partner to all staff.
