In January 2019, Thomas become a partner of AKDP, following the founding partners decision to take a step back from the day to day running.

Thomas joined the Practice in March 2007 as an Office Junior looking to progress his experience in the construction industry by completing a BTEC in construction, HNC and HND. He went on to complete a degree with Hons in Building Surveying at Anglia Ruskin. Thomas has now completed his Accreditation with the Chartered Institute of Building, becoming a member (MICOB).

Thomas has 15+ years’ experience in the construction industry, mainly specialising in the Mental Health Sector for several NHS Trusts in London, Greater London, Essex and Kent. His experience involves managing projects from inception through to completion. His job role includes Architectural Designer, Principal Designer, Cost Management and Contract Administrator. Thomas also works in other areas of the construction industry such as Planning, Party Wall Award and Condition and Derogation Reports.

Thomas understands that different Clients have very specific needs for each project, he has continued to build an extensive Client relationship with many Clients returning for more ambitious projects year on year.  Thomas takes care to guide Clients throughout a Project, enabling the Client to understand the requirements of the construction process and ensuring they run smoothly at each design stage. He prides himself in delivering projects to a high standard.

Thomas is involved with overseeing the Management of the Practice including staff resourcing and is a strong supporter of collaborative teamwork and understands the value of developing a respectful and supportive environment for all staff.
